Preston L. Vorlicek - President
Prior to co-founding CommSystems, Mr. Vorlicek was a Vice President at ComStream Corporation based in San Diego, California, USA. ComStream (now part of Radyne-ComStream), is a leading supplier of satellite telecommunications products and systems. During his tenure at ComStream, Mr. Vorlicek held various positions in executive management, program/project management, and engineering management. He was most recently general manager of ComStream's Networks Division. Prior to ComStream, Mr. Vorlicek held various technical and management positions at the Spar Communications Group, Federal Express Corporation, and Ford Aerospace & Communications (now Loral Corporation) Mr. Vorlicek received a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California at Berkeley, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Ronald C. Nitz - Vice President
Prior to co-founding CommSystems, Mr. Nitz was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Tiernan Communications in San Diego, California, USA. Tiernan Communications (now part of Radyne-ComStream) is a leading manufacturer of video encoding and MPEG compression equipment for the SNG and broadcast television industries. Prior to Tiernan, Mr. Nitz was Director of Product Line Management at ComStream Corporation where he led the marketing efforts for ComStream's Modem, Earth Station, and DAMA product lines. Prior to this, Mr. Nitz held various management and engineering positions with ComStream and Linkabit Corporation. Mr. Nitz received a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Harvard Business School, Master's and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Stanford University..
